Support
At €1 per container per month there is no support team. This page says what that means in practice, so you can decide whether it works for you before you depend on it.
What you get
- These docs.
- A community channel.
- Best-effort responses from us, with no committed response time.
There is no phone number, no ticket queue, no paid support tier, and no uptime SLA. If our infrastructure breaks, we fix it. If your container breaks, that is yours to fix.
Which channel
| What | Where |
|---|---|
| Technical questions, "is it just me?" | The community channel |
| Billing, invoices, VAT, refunds | hello@dollarbox.dev |
| Abuse reports | abuse@dollarbox.dev |
| Security vulnerabilities | security@dollarbox.dev — see the Security Policy |
| Data protection and GDPR requests | dpo@dollarbox.dev — see the Privacy Policy |
Email addresses other than these are not monitored for support. Technical questions sent to the billing address will be slower than the community channel, not faster.
TODO(verify: the community channel URL. The FAQ and homepage both refer to "a community channel" but no link exists anywhere in the repo.)
Things you do not need to ask us for
Several operations people expect to need support for are self-service:
- Restoring a volume backup. Control panel or API, at any hour, no ticket. See Volume backups.
- Reissuing a kubeconfig. Refresh credentials on the kubectl page.
- Raising your quota. Request an increase in the control panel.
- Exporting or deleting your data. Both are in account settings.
- Cancelling. Delete containers, or close the org from Billing.
Status and incidents
Outages are posted to status.dollarbox.dev. Check there before reporting that something is down — it is the fastest answer available and it does not depend on us being awake.
What counts as our problem
Ours: the cluster, the control panel, the API, billing correctness, tenant isolation, and the storage and backup infrastructure.
Yours: your container image, your application, your TLS certificates, your DNS records, and your data. The Terms put it plainly — there is no uptime guarantee, and you are responsible for maintaining backups appropriate for your workload even with the paid backup add-on enabled.
