Referrals
Refer a developer, earn a box-month. When someone signs up through your link, stays for 30 days and pays €2 of usage, €1 of DollarBox credit — one container-month — is added to your account and applied to your next invoice. They pay normal prices, with no discount and no credit; the reward is proportional to a product that costs €1 a month.

- Sign in and open Dashboard → Team & referrals → Referrals. Only the org owner can see this page.
- Copy the link. It looks like
https://app.dollarbox.dev/accounts/signup/?ref=…and it is permanent — share it on your site, in a README, in a chat, wherever developers are.
Anyone who opens the link and signs up within 30 days is attributed to you. If they follow your link, wander off and come back a week later, they still count, as long as they sign up within those 30 days of the first click. If they open someone else's referral link in between, the first link wins.
When you earn the credit
Both conditions must be met:
- the org they created has existed for 30 days, and
- it has paid €2 of eligible usage — compute, storage, snapshot protection and backups all count, excluding VAT and any discounts.
A single-container customer on monthly billing gets there in their second month; a customer who deploys a couple of containers or takes the annual plan qualifies as soon as day 30 arrives. Refunded or disputed payments are taken back out of the total.
When both are true we add €1.00 to your account credit, apply it automatically to your next invoice, and email you once. Credit has no cash value and does not expire while your account is open.
What you see, and what you don't
The Referrals page shows how many referrals are pending, how many have earned, and the total credited, plus a row per referral with its status and dates. It never shows who signed up — we do not tell referrers who used their link, and we do not tell new customers who referred them beyond a note on the signup page that a referral is in effect.

The rules, briefly
- Up to 25 rewards per account per rolling 12 months are credited automatically; beyond that they are held for review.
- Referring yourself, an account you pay for, or an account that shares your payment method does not earn credit.
- Invitations to join your existing org are team members, not referrals; only a brand-new org counts.
- Comped accounts neither earn nor generate referral credit.
- We can change or end the programme; referrals that have already qualified are still honoured.
